Thrift Shop Scavenger Hunt
Look here, look there, look everywhere at your Thrift Shop –Join us for an EXCITING scavenger hunt. You never know what you are going to find!

Location: KOSC Thrift Shop in the Rio Grande Community Center
Time: 11:00 am
Lunch will be served for $7 per person.
Candy-making Demonstration
If you went last year, you know this is one event not to miss!!
Date: Friday, November 21, 2008
Location: The Specialty Shop, 5823 Lomas Blvd NE
Time: Class starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp!
Cost: $ 12.00 +tax per person, as long as we have at least 20 people

KOSC Fundraising
As a 501c3 organization, our purpose is to raise money for our welfare and scholarship funds. Last year thanks to our members’ fundraising efforts at Gift Wrapping, the Charity Auction and the hard work of the many Thrift Shop volunteers, we were able to give out $19,000 in scholarships, in addition to our regular charitable support to various groups!!
GIFT WRAPPING
It's that time of year again. Our Gift Wrapping booth at the BX is from Sunday, Dec 7th to Wednesday, Dec 24th. There are two shifts (10-2 & 4- 7) each day. We need all the help we can get. Contact us for more information.
Our Charity Auction is coming up in June 2009
Last year we had several members donate/sponsor a basket. Some of the baskets were a family movie night (2 DVDs, set of 4 popcorn bowls & cups, a serving bowl and popcorn), a car care basket that had car cleaning items to go with the car wash donation from Octopus Car Wash, or even products donated from their business. Other members donated some of their talent - a handmade quilt, an afghan, theme-related table linens and even jewelry. We know our membership is full of creative and talented people. If you'd like to donate something to the auction, let us know!
